Anchor Comprehension Lessons with Anchor Charts

In this video, originally presented as a webinar, Kristina Smekens demonstrates the power in providing visual anchor charts for student learning. Rather than simply displaying them, Kristina shows how to build them during instruction and to spiral through the skills, adding to the anchor charts throughout the year.

The anchor charts then become a reference for students as they seek to apply the skills. Using anchor charts specifically for comprehension builds students’ ability to practice the skills throughout the year while the chart grows with each lesson presented.
