Playbook Pro | End each round with a W.A.R. lesson

At the end of each round, the Playbook provides a writing-about-reading lesson. We call it W.A.R. in the Playbook. The lessons in the Readers Write Fundamental are all important, but they don’t account for your entire writing instruction.

Writing lessons on grammar, word choice, and skills specific to different types of writing should be taught daily. Those writing mini-lessons occur in a separate writing time during the day.

The W.A.R. skills are rolled out after each round of comprehension instruction and focus specifically on how to put that round’s reader thinking into a written product.
